Import & Export

The importing and exporting of data is a central focus of conStruct. Only through importing non-RDF data can the benefits of interoperability and the data-driven aspects of the system be best realized. Though initial formats for conStruct are a bit limited, this is an area of much focus. A particular interest is to more comprehensively link the import of data structs into conStruct in line with the emerging set of 'RDFizers' and linked data frameworks.

Import

conStruct presently supports new data to be input into the system in the form of new datasets. (This is the bulk mode; not to be confused with instance record updates to existing datasets.) The fetch is based on an input URL, but may also include an entire dataset. Standard supported file input formats are RDF, TSV, JSON and certain XML.

Export

Structured data within the system ranging from individual data records to entire datasets may be shared externally via exports. Selections may also be based on instance type(s) and dataset(s). Once selected, standard export formats include RDF (RDF/XML and N3 serializations), TSV and JSON.
